Delftsche slaolie used to be produced by the Nederlandsche Olie Maatschappij. This was a predecessor of Calve.
Calve peanutbutter was produced in Delft in later times. (but now not anymore...)

To advertise the salad oil, posters were designed. The NOM asked renommated painters to design them.
Jan Toorop was one of these and his design became famous as example of contemporary Dutch art-deco stijl.
The Dutch art-deco stijl was even called salad-oil-stijl at the time.

This crate is a replica of the crates that were used at the time bij the NOM for the transport of bottles of salad oil.
Original crates are on display in some musea and one is owned by the rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
